GET THE LOOK: PLAID SCARF
In winter, I do not joke about how I dress. IT HAS TO BE WARM. Sometimes I will go out looking unrecognizable, because I wrap myself so much. Conclusion: I need my layers, my giant plaid scarf, and all my comfort before I step out.
For this reason, I have a few items in my wardrobe that are specifically dedicated for cold weather, which even sometimes get me excited about winter because I cannot wait to wear them. These items are:
- My ear protector
- My massive pair of boots
- Two special scarves
If you want me to get sick during winter, take me out with nothing to protect my neck and ears and seasonally inadequate shoes. THE-END! of me. And today I wanted to talk about scarves, more precisely, big GIANT large plaid scarves and give you a few options to choose from.

MY SPECIAL SCARVES
I told you that I had two special scarves right!? Well scarves are very important for me considering that I have a sensible neck. So these two scarves, the one I am wearing and and the other one. The scarves which is currently back in Switzerland is my ultimate “I’m gonna freeze, please give me a heater” scarf, and I do call it my heather. It is an amazingly warm, hand-made, woolen scarf that I received for christmas many years ago. When I got it I was like “Thank you!” with a big smile, but really I was thinking “What am I gonna do with this!?” because the color (white & pink-purple-ish) of it doesn’t really match my style and usual wardrobe colors. Well my dear friend..let me tell you that the day I wore it was like a revelation. The warmest piece of wool I had EVER encounter. Since then it became my winter secret weapon and my shield when I get sick. The second one which I am wearing in this blogpost I got it from H&M, also a few years ago. It is for my everyday winter outfits. It’s very long and large, hence, multi usage. HOW TO USE YOUR BIG PLAID SCARF: MY 4 DIFFERENT WAYS
These are a few ways I use my big plaid scarf and YOU can to.
- I can use it to wrap my head if there’s too much wind (I deeply dislike wind in winter)
- I can use it as cover to put on my laps
- I can also use it as cover when I want to sleep while going from one place to another
- or I can fold it and use as a pillow.
Really, there is a lot I can do it with that scarf or another and even more than what I have mentioned here.
What others ways do you have to use your scarf or scarves? Tell me in the comments below, I’d love to know.
